Pride With Shir Libeynu
Our 12th Annual Pride Havdallah at the MNJCC
Saturday, June 16 at 7:00 pm
Join us for our 12th annual Shabbat in celebration of Pride, led by Rabbi Aviva Goldberg with chazzanut and music by Paula Wolfson. This evening service will include Havdallah, the end of Sabbath ceremony. We will use traditional and modern prayers, and supplements from religious and secular literature and thought that reflect LGBTQ+ experience.
The service will include Eden Nameri’s storytelling about the queer relationship of David and Jonathan.
It will be followed by a desserts reception, where people can socialize together.
The event is open to all ages.

LGBTQ+ Shabbat (Service and Dinner) – for LGBTQ+ and Allies
The 519 (Community Centre): Friday, June 8, 2018
Rabbi Goldberg will be leading a Kabbalat Shabbat service, with our own Paula Wolfson conducting chazzanut (cantorial music), from 6:15-7:00 p.m, the 519 Ballroom.
The dinner will begin at 7:15 p.m.with an introductory welcome by the hosting organizations and a keynote speech from Rabbi Goldberg about the Torah portion of the week.
