Shabbat Morning Service, January 2018

  • 10:30 AM
  • MNJCC, 750 Spadina Avenue, Chapel and Rm. 318, 3rd floor

Rabbi Goldberg will lead our service, and will discuss the upcoming holiday of Tu B’shvat with us. Paula Wolfson will conduct the chazzanut. We thank Alice Newman for chanting Torah this week.

A luncheon kiddish will follow the service. We thank the Weisfeld and Zevaviv families for sponsoring the kiddish in memory of Zvi Puni צבי פוני, the beloved father of long-time member Ariela Weisfeld. Mr. Puni passed away on January 15th, 2017, in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Our enriching, free drop-in younger children’s program will be up and running during the entire morning.

Younger Children (ages three to seven/eight): Teacher: Leanne Stevens. This week, the children will learn about the Havdallah (end of Shabos) ritual, and do crafts related to it. All children are welcome at this program & in the chapel with their adults.

Children engaged in crafts and stories with their parents, grandparents and teacher: Oct. 2017

Junior Congregation: There will be no junior congregation this month, but will resume with the February service. We encourage all tweens and their families to celebrate with the Blackstock-Berinstein family on January 20, as Isabel becomes a Bat Mitzvah.
