Our Bnei Mitzvot Program

This year’s bnei mitzvah program is underway with learning sessions, a tzedekah project, social events for the families and the opportunity to celebrate this meaningful simcha with the community. L’dor va’dor : from generation to generation. Join us in supporting our young people during this part of their educational journey.

On their tour of the Kensington Market area, the cohort of students, their families and teacher and some Shir Libeynites learned about Jewish history in Toronto from a volunteer with the Ontario Jewish Archives. The visit that day included one to our community’s former High Holy Days’ home, Cecil Community Centre, the site of a shul in the 1920s.

November, 2014: At Rabbi Goldberg’s ordination, five veteran bar/bat mitzvas, who are still members of our shul (and some even attend regularly!), paid a moving tribute to Aviva for her guidance and humour during their educational journeys.
