Shir Libeynu’s High Holy Days’ Art Show – Preview at Gallery, Sept. 21-28, 2016
This exhibition will be our annual art show this year for the High Holy Days (October 5-18), which we celebrate at First Unitarian congregational building. But first, the co-presenter and curator, Mahrokh Ahankhah, has graciously offered to host a pre-show exhibit at her Queen Gallery, with an opening on September 21. Artists and photographers include several Shir Libeynu members, including the late and dearly-missed Oscar Wolfman. The 30-person creative roster includes a deaf Persian textile artist, some Canadian children and a First Nations painter. Please support Shir Libeynu by attending and/or buying your tickets/memberships to the holidays, when you will see the works on display (many on sale, with a small portion to the shul). If you are not attending, there may be other opportunities to see the works between the holidays, and after. Thank you, Mahrokh, and also member Simone Brightstein for your wonderful ideas and implementation.
