Costumes + Stories + Dancing
It all adds up to …
PURIM – The Best Night of the Year!
This All-Ages Event Promises Fun for Everybody
Dress up as brave Esther, evil Haman, rebellious Vashti or whoever strikes your fancy. Whether your costume is fabulous, frightening or funny, and whatever your age, join our parade and try to win a prize.
The Whole Megillah
Don’t miss the Story of Esther as told by Eden Nameri. She’ll give you the inside scoop on the Persian court — all the things they didn’t tell you in Hebrew school. You’ll laugh. You’ll gasp. You’ll boo. (Well, you’ll boo Haman.)
Dancing for Grown Ups
Turn down the lights and turn up the music. Shoshana Fainsilber will be playing tunes that will keep you on your feet, so make sure your costume includes dancing shoes.
Pyjama Party for Kids – Room 304
After the costume parade and the story, kids can change into their PJs and enjoy a movie and snacks. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow to be extra cozy.
Food and Drink
Please bring something delicious to eat or drink. We’ll be sharing, so there will be lots of variety and plenty to go around. If you can’t bring something this time, don’t worry – come anyway!
Cookies – Cake – Cheese – Crackers – Bread – Dips – Chips – Fruit – Vegetables – Drinks – Other Snacks and Treats
