Congregation Shir Libeynu affirms either-parent Jewish lineage and welcomes families formed through adoption, IVF, surrogacy, and other pathways of family creation into full participation in Jewish life.
Unlimited opportunities to actively participate in our services and programs — read Torah, lead in English, join the choir, sound shofar and more. Whether you are Jewish by either-parent lineage, are a Jew by Choice, or are part of a multi-faith family, your participation is fully welcomed and celebrated.
Conversion is an option for those who seek broader communal recognition or a ritual affirmation of Jewish identity, but is never a requirement for belonging here.
Membership with Congregation Shir Libeynu provides an opportunity to belong to a vibrant, diverse and unique Jewish community in downtown Toronto and includes:
